In many corners of our house there are pieces of artwork that serve as beautiful decoration, that bring me joy. These are things that my children have created, made, painted. Our fridge especially is covered in art work. Over the years I have traded out their old pieces of art, with new ones. Their old art now is in large totes to still be cherished, even if not on display. When it comes to things that my children have created, I am a definitely sentimental. To me, as their mom, their art is my all-time favorite! I am sure there are many of you, like me, who love the things our children create. I believe there are two reasons for this. One, we truly believe our children’s art work is good. The most important reason though, because we love them so much, that their creations, are that much more special. I see God as being like this with us, His children. When we use our gifts for His glory and to help others. I can just picture Him being so happy. That if there was a picture for every time we used our gifts, He would happily be putting them on display, because He loves us so much! I look at some paintings created by my children above our fireplace, and they sure add more beauty to our home. Just like we add more beauty, like pieces of art in God’s creation, when we use our creativity and our gifts for His glory.
