Independence Day

250 years of freedom. Wow, that’s incredible! I think we take that for granted here in the United States. Though what a privilege it is to have so many freedoms. Though the best freedom is our freedom with our faith. The fact that we can openly give God the praise He deserves. We can spend time with Him and pray in public. We can buy Bible’s almost anywhere. We can go to church. We are not scrutinized or victimized for it. Today fireworks will be watched, picnics will be held, get togethers will happen. Although every day we should celebrate in our hearts with gratitude what a blessing it is to live in the USA. Something we often take for granted. I have watched and I have heard of many places that do not have our freedoms and things can very difficult for them. Especially in matters of faith. This is disheartening and heartbreaking. We must pray for them! We must also not take for granted the privileges we have been given to have such freedoms. Friend, today as we celebrate a joyous occasion, may we celebrate all that Independence Day stands for. All the freedom, though most of all, our freedom in our faith. For many, good food will be eaten, special time with family will be had, and fireworks will light up the sky. Though as we enjoy all of this, may we also pray for countries less fortunate, and praise God for all the liberties that we have.

Happy Independence Day Friends! Have a safe and wonderful time celebrating!
