After being gone for a bit, when I got home, my dog eagerly jumped around, crying with excitement. I was home and she was so happy about it! I love walking in the door and being greeted with so much love and excitement. I picked her up in my arms and gave her attention. It got me thinking we should all be this excited about God; to read His word, talk to Him in prayer and anything that connects us closer to him. We are often too distracted. Although if our animals can get this excited about us, and we’re not even as great as God, then why can’t we get so excited about Him?! Friend, may we have the same enthusiasm for spending time with God, as our beloved pets do with us. My dog is snuggled up at my feet right now, in her favorite spot close to me. May we snuggle up in His word and spend some time with Him.
