Have you ever felt challenged by God to step out of your comfort zone? There may be times where God does call us to do that very thing. Sometimes we hold our own selves back from our full abilities and from what God calls us to. Maybe it’s fear, doubt, self-confidence; whatever it may be. Although if God calls us to something, He will fully equip us for that calling. Even if we feel a little unsure at first, we can be sure that if we are doing it for God’s glory, and if that is what He calls us to, we will succeed in it. I think of Gideon in the Bible. God called him to lead an army. Gideon definitely didn’t think he could do that. So much so, that he doubted God and tried to hide. He felt weak and small and incapable. Though God knows all, and He knew that Gideon was exactly who he needed to lead that army. When Gideon did submit to God’s calling, he found that he was qualified, because God is qualified. Gideon could lead the army because of God’s power. Friend, when God calls us to something for His glory, may we follow where He leads us. For it is amazing what we can do for His glory, when we follow where we have been called.
