Sometimes I just want to wrap my arms around my children as if my closeness will keep them safe at all times. Although I know this isn’t always the case and I surely cannot be everywhere with them, at all times. Though I know that God can and He can go, and He can do far beyond what I can. For not a moment is God not in control. When I think of my love for my children and how deeply I love them, I know that God loves them even more. That, is an incredible truth! I didn’t know I was such a worrier until I became a mom. Having a child truly is like allowing part of our heart to go walking outside our body. We are human and we cannot always be there in every way at all times the way that we want to for our children. But God can! There have been times where I have leaned into this truth. Where I have surrendered to His control. Where I have prayed fervently. It is in God where I can find peace when parenting goes beyond me. Friend, children are a gift, no matter the age. They are a very special treasure in our lives. May we trust that God sees them as such too. He too loves them, but even more so! He will be with them always. He will watch over them. May we lean into God and His love, trusting that while we do our best, God will handle the rest.
