Comfort

When I was a lite girl any time I would get hurt, I could decently put on a brave face.  But then when I would see my mom, I would burst into tears telling her I was hurt.  For there is something about seeing her face or hearing her voice that reassures me it’s ok to fall apart. She would be there to help make everything better.  Apparently, things haven’t changed, even as I’m an adult.  For recently I lost one of my pets. Though my husband comforted me wonderfully, I had to call my mom too.  I called her and when I told her and heard her voice, the tears started to well again in my eyes and I wanted to cry all over again. I see God like that, always making us feel comforted and like we can just go to Him and let our tears fall. Tears are something God understands, very well. He is always there for us and things are always better where He is. Friend, if something is weighing on your heart, go to God, He is there always ready to comfort your hurting heart. For like the comfort of a mother’s love, how even more wonderful the comfort of our Father.
