It’s disheartening how we trust our alarm clocks more than we sometimes trust God. We set our alarm and we trust it will go off when it is supposed to. We even confidently go to bed, feeling assured that it’ll wake us up at the right time in the morning. Ok, maybe getting up in time is easier to give trust with, than surrendering things of bigger importance. So, I guess you could argue that. However, how often do we put more trust in people, than we do God? Though trusting people, wisely so, is okay, it is not okay to put more faith in people than in God. Sometimes we may even trust, whether we mean to or not, that we can do things better on our own. I struggle myself at times with fully surrendering to God. Though He is trustworthy. However, in my aim to be wise or to do my best to have control over the situation, I sometimes don’t fully give it to God. Though we need to do our part in things, we have to know also how to in doing so, fully trust that God has control over it all. We need to find our peace in this. Friend, doing our part, letting go, and letting God ultimately be the One in control can be difficult. Though He always has control no matter what; so, may we let God be God. May we do what we can do and find peace that in His goodness and His love He has got the rest. My alarm clock woke me up this morning, but more than that, God did. I am grateful for God always looking out for me and those I love. I turned off my alarm, got out of bed and I know, that as I do my part today, God will be with me every step of the way.
