Sometimes I just coast through life

As though just trying to survive and get by

Just living day by day

In life trying as though to comply

Just to be good and do my best

Comfortable within the lines, 

Not to make a mess

Though it’s starting to dawn on me

There’s more that I should do

More for God, to be a light

Live out my faith more true

I am learning that I am shy

Should not stop me from doing more

To being God’s hands and feet

For everything He has in store

Do I love everyone not just in word

But in my actions

With all my choices

And reactions

Am I loving out loud

Do people see that with God I walk

Or do they think

I am just all talk

Do I represent God, 

Lovingly and bold

Help bring people to Christ

Or do in fear I fold

Am I just simply being nice

For I don’t want to just get by

I want to spread His love

His word, His hope, I don’t want to defy

I want to use my time wisely

I don’t know when it will end

I know we need God now

And in eternity, so I won’t pretend

That having God beside us

And spreading His good news

Is not the most important thing

That we will ever do

I hope someday when my time does come

That I will be with God and that I did share of His love

So, when our time is up

I’ll see everyone up above 

So, with God here on Earth

I want to more than just get by its true 

I want to share our Saviors love

In all I say and do
