A few years back before we bought our home, we had been on the search for just the right one.  Our incredible realtor diligently helped us narrow down some choices. We did a couple walk throughs, but nothing was working out. Then, there was one more house to see.  Almost feeling like giving up and seeing the house from a picture, I wasn’t so sure. I was feeling discouraged, but we already committed to seeing it, and my husband said it wouldn’t hurt just to go look at it. Well, I’m sure glad that I listened to him! The minute we pulled in the driveway, something told me this might be it. By the time we walked through the door, it felt like home. Like a big warm, welcoming hug. Then, in the downstairs of our home I knew, it was our home. I made it known right then that I wanted to put in an offer right away! My husband joked that we hadn’t even seen the garage yet!  I said it was fine, because this was meant to be our home. I felt so much peace about it. My husband, a reluctant big spender, even agreed. So, we stood there and prayed in the driveway that it would be ours. A couple days later the gracious seller accepted our offer. A month later, we signed the papers to our house and moved in.  Our home has been a wonderful blessing and a perfect fit for our family. We have made it even more of our own, while still keeping some of the original charm. I truly believe God had His hand in it all and I am so grateful for it. Friend, I have learned that God puts things in our hearts for a reason. That He is always in control and has a plan. Also, that He will provide peace when making decisions that are right for us. So may we trust Him always in every step, every path, every opportunity and in all things. For He will faithfully guide us, always. What’s meant to be for us, in God’s will, will always be.
