I have learned the older I become
The brevity of time
How quickly the years dance by
This I have come to find
My children are growing up
Faster than I had planned
Though I see it happening
I have yet to fully understand
How life can so fleetingly
Seem to pass us by
All we can do is make the most of it
With all that we can try
I even look at myself
I am getting older its true
As the days go on by
We’re all getting older me, and also you
We must make the most of this time
In which we have been given
Truly live a life for God
A life worth liven
We must raise our children
The best that we can
Teaching them of the Lord
And how to live for Him
We too must live it wisely
Walking with God each day
In all aspects of life
Whether work or play
For time is quickly passing
May we learn to use it for His glory
So, when our time is up
We will have a triumphant story
That we walked with God
And we loved Him so
And through brevity of time
It was our faith in which did grow

Brevity of time
James 4:14 NIV
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.
Psalm 144:4
They are like a breath; their days are like a fleeting shadow.
Psalm 90:12 NIV
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Psalm 39:4-5 NIV
“Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.
