Negativity can be contagious

If we choose to let it be

Anger, bitterness, and cynicism

If that’s all we choose to see

Without any joy

Angry faces that are given

Only seeing hopelessness

In this life we’re liven

Laughter is contagious

Oh, the spread of joy

Shared with one another

Love that is employed

Happiness being shared

Smiles that are given

Help make life better

In this life in which we’re liven

Every day of every moment

We get to make a choice

To be negative in life

Or joyful praise to rejoice

What kind of life

Do we choose to see

One in which is negative

Or filled with positivity

For life is not perfect

Even the best has their day

Though I have learned it’s always better

When we go to God and pray

Thanking Him for all He does

In this life in which we’re given

Helping us to find joy in Him

In this life we’re liven

Do we search for the world’s

Brokenness and sin

Or do we turn our thoughts

To stay centered on Him

Do we listen for the laughter

In Him do we find our happiness

Do we keep our hearts toward Him

Or let negativity ruin bliss

For though life isn’t always easy

With God’s joy it is always better

For with His love

In life we can better weather

Negativity can be contagious

Though so can joy too

For may we choose the latter

In all we say and do
