I watched a video of a young blind athlete. He was an incredible runner, although due to his lack of sight, needed a guide to run alongside him. So linked together they ran the race. Attached to one another and remaining in step with the race. It was said the young man that helped him along was constantly encouraging him. He was a great running partner and together the young man finished the race in great timing, due not only to his perseverance, but the assistance of his helpful friend. God is like this. He’s our running partner in life. Staying right beside us from the start of the race of life, all the way to the end. Being our eyes when we cannot see what’s ahead, but He can. Helping us to stay the course and always staying in step with us. Lovingly encouraging us all the while. While we are running this race of life, may we know that we can trust the One in whom goes with us and know that He will bring us safely across the finish line. Everything perfectly on time. I watched as those two young athletes crossed that finish line. What a great sight to see!
