We stood for our family photo. We all smiled, and the picture was taken. When I went to look at it, I was further reminded of how tall my children are getting. My oldest son has long since outgrew me. My youngest son, is not far from my height. When did that happen?! It seems like especially, these last couple of years, my boys suddenly grew a ton! I guess eating the right food and some time can go a long way. It won’t be long before both of them will be towering over me with their height! Though I am good with that. It is a blessing to watch our children grow up. It got me thinking, our faith is like that. We start out like newborn babes in our faith and the more we are nourished with God’s word, we can grow in that faith. How wonderful it is to see us grow closer to God. The more time we spend with Him, the more our soul is nourished. Friend, may we keep walking with the Lord. May we keep reading His word. May we keep spending time with Him. May we live for Him. May we tell others of Him, so they too can grow in their love for God. What a blessing it is to watch us all grow in our faith. My boys stand tall next to me, though when they show their love for God, that is the most grown I see them. That is the most grown we all will be, when we grow upwards towards the Lord.

Growing upwards towards the Lord
