I would rather be a friend to the Lord, than a friend to the world. When we truly follow God; His word, His will, and His calling, we see the world different. When we are living of the world, sometimes, we cannot see the sin so clearly. We almost blend in to the brokenness of this world. Yet, when we choose to walk with God; we truly see the corruption, the brokenness, the sin. Though God also has a way of bringing like-minded people that love Him too, our way. I may not be cool, or know the latest trends, I may not know how to have the worlds standards of fun. Yet, I feel the most at peace, I have ever felt. Friend, the ways of the world are temporary moments of bliss, with no longevity of true peace. Walking with God on the other hand; can offer a peace that this world cannot offer. For it is a peace that can come only from God. Friend, my hope is that we can all truly call God our greatest friend. For the closer we are to Him, the more peace we can have; despite being in a broken world. When we walk with God, we are able to also bring others to Him too. How much better this world would be, with more true peace in it.
