There is something about laughter

It fills a heart with Joy

Happiness inside oneself

More gladness to employ

Like medicine for the soul

Comfort for the mind

Oh, delight for the heart

Merriment defined

Grateful we are

To be given such a gift

One that can bring cheer

And to ourselves uplift

When laughter comes from goodness

It surely comes from God above

Who has gifted us gladness

From the treasure of His love

The treasure of joy

Proverbs 17:22 NIV

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Psalm 16:11 NIV

You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Psalm 126:2-3 NIV

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
