I have met many people in my life that claim to walk with God, but yet their walk proves otherwise. We all fall short, we all sin, and we are all in need of God. With that being said, however, if we are actively walking with God then our actions must consistently show it. We will all mess up sometimes, we’re not perfect. But if the same offense against God is reoccurring as if it’s not a sin, then how can we really be walking with Him? For example, I have watched people say a prayer and then talk and act grossly inappropriate in the same few sentences, as if the behavior is totally ok. Friend, it’s not okay though. We can’t say we love God and are righteous, and then turn around and behave sinfully like it’s okay and acceptable. We all do sin, yes, but we can’t be living in it and say we are walking with Him. Fortunately, for our sake, God is very gracious and kind and we can always choose to repent and begin truly walking with Him. For if we are to have a true relationship with God and represent Him and His goodness, then may we live how He has called us too; consistently. When we mess up, may we hold ourselves accountable and ask God for forgiveness and then continue to strive to live godly lives. Friend, may we always hold ourselves accountable for what we say and how we behave and ask ourselves, how do my actions reflect my walk with God?

Truly walking with God
Titus 1:16 NIV
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
James 2:14-19 NIV
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Matthew 7:21-23 NIV
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
