I can hear him in the kitchen. He is washing all of our dinner dishes. Carefully washing, drying, putting everything back where it belongs. Though he does help alongside me often, this is something that I like to do to serve my family. This was after even his long day of work. I made a big dinner. When we were done eating, I even packed his lunch and put the leftovers away. That was as much as I could do tonight. I wasn’t feeling the best. I have some chronic conditions that cause this sometimes. He doesn’t judge me when this happens. He just asks how he can help. My husband knows I only ask for it when needed. These are the moments that remind me of his love for me, just as I am. I see God being this way. He sees us doing our best, and loves us as we are. Through flaws and imperfections. It is in these moments where I can see my husband really being the husband that God has called him to be. I am so grateful for this. Friend, we are human and we are flawed. Whether through things we can help or things out of our control. We are not perfect, but God knows that and He helps us through our weakness. May we always know that we can depend on God and go to Him for help, always. He is always there for us. My husband finished the dishes, closed the blinds and gave me a kiss. He loves me through it all. Just as God loves us, through it all.

Psalm 73:25-26 NIV
Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Psalm 136:1 NIV
