I like butterflies. Not just because they are beautiful, but because their transformation is beautiful. They go through all these stages. Then, they get to their final stage and become something so much more beautiful than what they were. Starting out from an egg, then becoming a caterpillar where they will eat all the nutrients, they will need to get bigger. Then, when the time is right, they build a hard shell around themselves to create a chrysalis. It is during this phase where they become a butterfly. What a sight to behold! What a transformation. Though it doesn’t happen overnight, it takes some time. Friend, I think we are kind of like butterflies. We grow through changes and with the Lord’s help, we become someone even more beautiful. The journey may be awkward, maybe hard or even difficult. Although when we follow God’s design for our lives, those stages help us become the beautiful people that God called us to be. Friend, if you are going through a transformation or a change in your life, hang tight to God. Trust the process, trust His design for your life. Maybe it won’t happen overnight, maybe it’ll take some time. But just hang tight, God has something great in mind. Like a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, you too my friend, with God, will become someone better than who you first were.
