God is not just some type of celebrity that we just really like and so then go and buy all things religious. Then claim that we know Him. He is God, no one is more important! We can own the Bible, but if we don’t live by it, what good does it do? We can go to church on Sabbath, but if done out of habit instead of intention, what does it prove? We can sing christian songs, but what good is it, if we don’t live Christ-like? How can one be saved, if not through Christ? If still living in the same sin, that one asks Jesus to take away? We can be good people to the world’s standards, but what is goodness if not by Gods standards? God is not just some fad, celebrity poster on our wall, or cross necklace around our necks. He’s not a religion, He’s a relationship. We can show up to church on sabbath and do all the customs of having the appearance of godliness. Although if we don’t have a real relationship with God, then how can we say that we know Him? Many will claim to know God, but few will. Someday our time will come and we are going to want God to know us, so we can be with Him someday in heaven. May our claims of faith, be built on a true relationship with our Father in heaven, a genuine repentance with Jesus of our sin, and a real walk with our Savior. Religion is a word, faith is a walk, and a relationship takes two; may we truly walk with Him now, so we can be with Him, always.

Real walk with our Savior
2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Titus 1:16 NIV
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
Matthew 7:23 NIV
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Matthew 7:20 NIV
Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
James 2:17 NIV
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Revelation 3:20 NIV
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
