I came home the other day to a beautifully decorated table, with lit candles, and dinner made. My husband surprised me with a little date at home. In the background he was playing lovely music on our record player. Where after dinner we slow danced in our living room to the beautiful melody. He told me he wanted to have a special date for us, even if we can’t afford to go out right now. It was a lovely date and I so appreciated the effort, though most of all, just spending time with him. Sometimes we complain about what we don’t have, not realizing we have so much, right in front of us. We just need to make the most of all that God has blessed us with. Instead of wanting more, may we take in all that God has already given. We can be so greedy sometimes as humans, that we forget to appreciate all that we have. Friend, may we look around at all that we have, all the good that is in our life. May we thank God for it all. May we make the most of all that He has blessed us with; both now and eternally. As our bellies were full from our lovely meal, our slow dance finished and we blew out the candles, my heart was filled to the brim. What a wonderful date, in the comfort of my home with my favorite person. Thank you, God.
