God’s remarkable gift of love

We didn’t deserve it then. We don’t deserve it now. Though His love covered us then and covers us still with His grace. With His unfailing love. God loving us so much to give His one and only Son, to save us though we deserve it not. Though we have done nothing to earn it. Often as humans we think we deserve more than we do. Like the world owes us something. Like God owes us something. Though we do not, it does not, He does not. Everything good we have ever had and have now is because of His goodness. Everything we can hope for in our forever, is to be forever with Him. We live in a wanting world. Wanting more. Not realizing what we have is already more than we deserve. Yes, living a righteous life, one in which honors God is always going to give us a better life, despite hardships. Though God owes us nothing. Friend, may in our wanting, it be God we desire. Praising Him for all He does, has done, and continues to do. For surely, we are blessed, just by being loved so deeply by our Creator. What an undeserved and most remarkable gift.

God’s remarkable gift of love

John 3:16 NIV

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:9-10 NIV

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Ephesians 2:4-5 NIV

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Romans 8:38-39 NIV

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

2 Corinthians 9:15 NIV

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
