A Christ-centered life

Do the right thing, even if no one sees it, acknowledges it, or seems to care. We live in a world with not enough accountability. Not enough people caring to do the right thing or to do things with integrity, honesty, morals, ethic and good character. Though some do, there are still not enough that do. Though God cares and it does matter when we do the right thing. May we not be disheartened or discouraged, but be encouraged in knowing that we are living the righteous lives that God has called us to. I recently read that there was a woman who accidentally received a large sum of money into her bank account. A mistake had been made from the financial institution. She knew it was not hers, yet, she chose to keep it anyway. There were many in the comments that agreed with her using the excuse that it wasn’t her fault they messed up. Although this is an unfortunate way to think because it shows a lack of integrity. I was disheartened to know that so many people would be so quick not to do the right thing and give the money back. However, I also read of a story of a young man that found a large amount of money at his place of employment and chose to have integrity and he turned the money in. This ensured that the proper owners received their money back. They were very grateful for this young man’s honesty and good character. Friend, God sees it all and He is a just God. May we choose to be filled with integrity, honesty, morals, ethic and good character. To live a life that God has called us to, whether or not everyone else is. For living a Christ-centered life will always offer us more than this world ever could.

A Christ-centered life

Proverbs 10:9 NIV

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.

Galatians 6:9 NIV

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

1 Peter 3:17 NIV

For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

James 4:17 NIV

If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.

Psalm 37:37 NIV

Consider the blameless, observe the upright; a future awaits those who seek peace.
