Greatest love story

I love the old-fashioned love stories. The ones where the couple has seemed to love each other for years and years. The ones that went through many chapters in their love story. Some good, some bad, some somewhere in the middle. Some excellent years filled with so much joy and some difficult years filled with hardship. Though their loved remained as constant as the earth spinning on its axis. That very love making the good moments better and the hard moments bearable. I love the love that keeps couples together through all that life gives. Some may say they can do without it, though life is so much better with it. It got me thinking about God’s constant love for us. His love for us even greater than your favorite couple’s love story. His love far exceeding what this world can offer. God makes the good days praise worthy, and in the hard days, He gives us strength to endure. Sure, we can do life without God, though I wouldn’t recommend it; life is so much better with Him. Being that all of us only are allotted so many years in this life, how wonderful it is to walk with the Lord so that we can have eternal life with Him someday. There are many beautiful love stories in this world. I quite enjoy my husband and I’s as well. Though my all-time favorite love story is the love for us from our Father in heaven. He has loved us since even before we were born and He loves us deeply and wants to spend eternity with us. I think back to my grandparent’s love story, that’s pretty special. I look at my marriage with my husband and it sure is wonderful. I look to God and His love for me and my love for Him and it’s the greatest love story ever. That same love is offered from God, to all who will just open their hearts to receive all He is.

Greatest love story

Isaiah 61:10 NIV

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Romans 8:38-39 NIV

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
