My youngest son wanted to read his book outside. The sun had already gone down and the air was slightly brisk. Though we put on our sweatshirts and headed outdoors. As he sat on his swing reading his book, I found myself relaxing on the ground, the dirt below me. Our dog in turn, excitedly chewing up as many sticks as she could. It was peaceful, as the moon gave off just enough light for my son to read the words in his book. I could see the moon shining in the distance, as planets revealed themselves in the sky. We were not out there too long as eventually the night grew darker, as the air become colder. Though something about the fresh air was what we needed. I have experienced throughout the years the healing joy that being outside provides; none is like it. When I am sad, afraid or sick I step outside as though the fresh air aids in relief and a calming sense of added breath in my lungs. When I am overwhelmed, nature providing a sense of peace. Being out in Gods creation is beautiful, however, also therapeutic. Often, some very special moments filled with joy, are those in which are spent outside. Friend, nature is a blessing from God, may we appreciate the beauty and wonder of it all.

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Romans 1:20 NIV
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
