It was a pretty cold morning and the frost had kissed the ground. We passed by a small lake and floating atop the water were some very pretty ducks. Behind them from the frigid water temps, you could see a trail in the water from where they had just come from. The cold-water leaving imprints from where they had just been. I couldn’t help but be amazed how such a small, delicate, creature could withstand such cold elements. Then, I was reminded of how intelligently intentional God is when He created the world and every living creature in it. Like the ducks I seen, He equipped to stay warm in even cold waters. Their feathers are actually a mix of waterproof and even insulated feathers. They have this special blood circulation that also keeps them warm in all the right places. He also created them smart enough to know when to tuck their bills and their little feet in, to keep them extra warm as well. Pretty incredible huh? God knew what He was doing when He created us too. He not only creates us wonderfully, but He continues to equip us in life and everything we encounter in it. Friend, as God cares for the ducks that sit on the cold lakes, God cares for us even more so. May we rest in the comfort of His care and His love.
