In the eyes of the Lord

People have become so worried about offending that they have become desensitized to sin. More worried about what the world thinks, than what God thinks. There are many churches in an effort to be welcoming, choose acceptance of behaviors that go against God. This in turn, creates a church that goes against God. I’m not saying turn people away. Quite the opposite! Invite them in, but don’t embrace the sin, and instead help show them His truth. For so many Christians believe in order to love it means that you have to agree with everything. Though that is not real love.  To really love someone is to correct them and show them what is right, because you truly care. So many Christians these days are too afraid to speak up for His truth. I get it. For the world confuses love speech sometimes with hate speech. Though that is exactly what we are to do, is to lovingly show people God’s way. Although as a reminder not hatefully, lovingly so. Hating the said bad choice, but loving the person enough to tell them it’s wrong. Friend, standing up for what is right in God’s eyes can be intimidating sometimes. Though we must love enough to do so. For those that say that they are Christian and think anything that goes against the Bible is ok because they think that is what love is, seriously needs to reconnect with God and His word. We must be kind always, yes. But kindness doesn’t mean tolerant of everything. We must choose to defend God lovingly, and not accept bad behavior. For someday God will come again and we will be judged accordingly. May we do what is right in the eyes of the Lord.

In the eyes of the Lord

Proverbs 29:25 NIV

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

Galatians 1:10 NIV

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Matthew 5:10-12 NIV

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
