Recently, as many of you have probably heard, there was a flash flood in Texas where many people passed away and others are still missing. What makes it worse, is that most are children. I can’t even fathom what their loved ones are going through, nor do I want to. I send my condolences for the lives lost and pray that the ones missing are found.
We take so much for granted and we live in such a hurt and broken world. We can so easily complain about the small nuisances, we sometimes lose sight of our blessings. I was irritated today because we loss power and food had to be thrown out. Though that is nothing compared to what the people in Texas are going through. Sometimes in our little grievances, we lose our perspective. We get so caught up in things not being exactly as what we wanted, that we forget there are those suffering through so much worse. May we pause and thank God for the blessings in our lives. May we also pause and pray for those in Texas that have been affected by this devastating flood.
Friend, sometimes we need to stop complaining, start praying and keep praising. For life is fragile, life is a blessing and life is a gift. May we thank God for it and pray for one another through it.

Matthew 25:35-40 NIV
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
