I do my best to be careful on who I surround myself with, and whom I allow my children to be around. For it is all too easy to start behaving like those around you. It is like having fruit that has gone bad, next to fruit that is good; the bad fruit can start making the good fruit go bad too. Same goes for if we surround ourselves with those that are making poor decisions, it’s harder for us to make good ones. We can be kind, pray, encourage or reach out and provide resources for those that are not living as they should; though that does mean that we should join them. Boundaries are healthy and appropriate. However, if we surround ourselves with people that are living out their faith, it is easier for us to grow in ours. Friend, may we be careful with whom we surround ourselves with. It does matter and it does make a difference. May we choose wisely the company that we keep.
