Matthew 8:5-8 NIV
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.” Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?” The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Matthew 9:21 NIV
She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”
Daniel 3:16-17 NIV
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.
Hebrews 11:1 NIV
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Matthew 17:20 NIV
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.”
There are many examples in scripture where many have completely trusted in God and His abilities. They knew that God was all powerful and all loving. They were completely all in, in their trust for Him. When we go through things in our life, do we have complete trust, complete faith, and complete surrender in God’s ability to care for us? That He is in control and will heal us, protect us, guide us. That through our faith we know we can see His love as He cares for us as His children. Friend, sometimes it easy to get caught up in the fear of what is going on; that we lose sight of the One who is in control and is our help. He has the power to heal, protect and He will guide us. We must keep our faith in Him. For it is so amazing what He can do. We can see it in scripture and even in the lives of others and our own lives His faithfulness and His power. We must go to Him in prayer and complete trust. May our faith be bigger than our situation, as we watch His love in action in our lives.
