Fixed on God

My husband and I had to work on a couple of house projects. Ones that we were not anticipating. Though they were not massive projects, it was still somewhat stressful having to do them. I’m sure many of you can relate. “We’ll figure it out,” I told my husband after we said a prayer and headed for the home improvement store. For though we knew it was not a massive fix, we were unsure all of what it entailed. My words were meant as encouragement. That together him and I and with God’s grace, we’d figure it out. For sometimes things need repairing and we do not always expect it and we may not always know how to fix it. However, when we work together and we keep God with us, it is there we can best tend to what needs fixing.

In life there are things that need fixing or mending at times; materially, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Whether expected or unexpected; sometimes there are improvements that need to be made. When we work together with God, we can get through them; because we have Him by our side. Friend, I cannot say with everything in life we will figure it out. However, if we keep the faith, and if we keep God at the center of our lives; we can have peace and hope whether we do or we don’t.

I am looking forward to these completed projects. When they are finished, I am looking forward to seeing them work better. Maybe the process is not always ideal, but sometimes things need to be fixed to be made better and I am looking forward to that. Just like all things in life the process may not always be easy, but with God, the outcome is pretty great. For God fixes broken things and broken people, we must just keep our eyes, our hearts, and our minds fixed on Him.
