If I had it my way years ago, then, I would have married the wrong person who would treat me unkind and I would not have the beautiful children that I do. If I had it my way, then, I would have been living in the wrong house, in the wrong town, my kids would have gone to the wrong school. If I had it my way, then, I would not be here. There are many times in my life where I thought my way, should have been the only way. I look back now, and I am so grateful that I did not get my way. I am grateful that God had it all, His way. Now that I am older and wiser; I have found that to have faith in God is to fully trust that His plans, His answers, are better than anything we could ever hope for. For He knows, what we need. He knows what is best. I am so grateful at certain times in my life, where I did not get my way. I am grateful for His hand that brought me to where I am, right now, in this very moment.

   Though we are given choices, not everything is in our control. We plan our lives out and we hope for things that we want. Sometimes it is in alignment with God and He makes sure that those things we hope for happen. Other times, He says no. At times we question Him and we do not know why. Then life fast-forwards and we see why. Other times we do not know why; but being that we know of all the times that He has been faithful, we can know that He must have a reason for that too.

  Friend, we can control what is in our grasp, but not everything is. Sometimes, we just need to walk with God on this journey and trust Him with the outcome. If I always got my way, I would not be who I am today, with this life that God has blessed me with and with everyone, who is in it today. I am grateful, for God’s will in my life. I am grateful for not always getting my way. For like when our parents tell us no when we are younger or we tell our children no, for their good; God does the same thing. May we continue to trust in Him who loves us more than anybody. For to be loved so deeply by God; is the assurance that everything He does in our lives is for our good, for the greater good. If things did not go your way my friend, trust that His way is all knowing and is one in which is filled with love.
