When we look back at some of the people in the Bible, we so quickly judge them. When some of them struggled to trust God, we think why did they not just trust him? Or why did they not just simply listen to God’s instruction? Or why did that character behave like that? It is incredible how relatable, these people in the Bible actually are. It is so important that the Bible mentions the imperfections of those that said they loved God. For we are not all that different. As we read about all these people in the Bible, it should not be a place of judgement, but of reflection. How often do we walk this life not trusting God, just like many did not just God on the way to their promised land? We know right from wrong, yet, sometimes we make the wrong choices. Why don’t we just follow His instruction? Why do we make some of the choices we make? Are we following where He leads or are we following worldly desires? When we read the Bible, we need to learn from all the stories, all the people, all the instruction. It really is a manual full of examples and a map of directions for our life. Words of hope, peace, love. When we read the Bible, my friend is it a story that we must make commentary on or is it one in which we really reflect all that we are reading. One in which we are truly learning from and applying in our daily lives. A source of comfort, direction and hope. The Bible is the greatest, most-detailed and most-important love story that we will ever read, how are we applying it in our lives my friend? Also, are we reading it like we should and really processing the words within its pages?
