We had a project that needed to be completed yesterday evening, and my youngest son could not wait to be a big helper. He followed my husbands every move, with a willingness to help in any way that he was able. At one point I watched as my husband swiftly walked past me, our youngest following his steps, proudly proclaiming, that they needed to go get some more hardware. He felt proud to be learning a new skill. My husband knew very well, how special this teachable moment was. I could even hear them from the other room; talking about all the different kinds of tools and hardware. I loved watching them achieve their project together, while in the process having the time to bond.
Friend, life is like that project. We have goals in our life that need to be accomplished, and as we are learning we need our Father to guide us and teach us. In those teachable moments while walking with the Lord, we are able to bond with Him too. Like how my son followed in my husbands’ steps as he learned, we too must follow in God’s. For the best way to accomplish anything in life; is to walk with God, who is always eagerly willing to show us the way and teach us how to best navigate this life.
The project was completed yesterday evening and everything looked great! My husband and son did a job well done. I want to be told by my Father in Heaven, that when this life is over, that I did a job well done here on earth; because I followed His wise instructions, His way, as I walked following His steps.
