Young children, gladly reach out their hand for us. Then as the years pass, they do not reach as often. At times we long for the days when their small hands, fit inside of ours. Through the years, however, we also love to watch them becoming, the people God has called them to be. We pray that although they no longer hold our hand, that they continue to hold onto God’s. For no matter how old we get, our hands can always be held by God. I picture Him often, reaching out to guide us. For although some of us are too old to carry our parent’s hands everywhere we go; we are not too old for His. Often, self-reliance becomes our norm, and God seems to fade away. Friend, God is still here, waiting to lovingly guide us in this journey called life. He is reaching His hand to us, longing for us; the question is, will we reach back?
