The human body is miraculously created, though also very complex. Each cell, each nerve, immune system, each organ, each bone, muscle, tissue, all of it, created with a purpose and a plan by God’s design. All of it needing to work with its own function, together, to keep us well and our bodies working effectively. When something does not work properly, it can cause many issues and can be very detrimental for our health, safety, and even our lives, depending on what the problem is. The human body is so intricately designed. There are things that we are still learning, just beginning to understand and even some things, we still haven’t quite yet fully discovered. I can’t help but think though if God created us so intentionally detailed, He surely made us with a purpose and with an extreme amount of love. Though because of sin, our bodies don’t always work perfectly. Even the healthiest of people might get a cold from time to time. Or some people may have chronic conditions or diseases. Or for some, they may have to fight off cancer or organ failure; or things of the like. Though I have learned, that our bodies truly are remarkable. Each part of our bodies needing to work together for us to function properly, efficiently, and at our best. Though we may not always be able to control what happens when our bodies do not work efficiently or even if we get a cold or a virus, what we can control is how we take care of our soul. For if we have a relationship with God, everything else about us is better, for He makes things better. When we are well, all praise goes to Him. When we are not, we can still praise Him because He will walk along side us through it all and if in His will, will give us healing. If not, we know we will still always have true healing with Him someday in heaven. We can learn everything about our wonderfully complex bodies and how we are created, though if we don’t walk with the Creator, Himself, we are truly missing out. Just like a gardener that tends to the garden he’s created, God still tends to us. He doesn’t ever stop loving and caring for His creation. Look at yourself in the mirror my friend, you are created intricately and wonderfully. Whether our health is good, not good, or just not the best at the moment, God makes all things better. As we do our best to take care of our bodies, may we also nurture our souls by walking with God who created it all. For there is nothing more important for this vessel of ours, but to take care of the soul inside of it, that was made with purpose and love. May we take care of our bodies and nurture our souls. The only way to do that is to walk with Him, in which we come from.
