For quite some time my family and I have been doing daily blessings every night at devotional time. That way no matter how our day was, we end it in gratitude from God for at least one thing, if not more! Well, recently after my husband and I finished our couple’s devotional he came up with a wonderful idea. He wanted us every night to think of one blessing that we did for each other too. I agreed, and thought it was a great idea! So lately my husband and I have been sharing with each other these helpful or meaningful things we did for one another. Being that we want a godly marriage, we want to keep Him at our center. Another way of having a godly marriage is nurturing it as God has intended. It is so easy to get caught in the day-to-day busyness that we may not take the time to appreciate our spouse. By acknowledging these things, we do for one another daily, we are showing love and appreciation toward each other. In turn, not only building each other up and feeling appreciated, but being intentional on noticing the blessing of one another. Friend, marriage is a blessing. May we nurture it and help it grow in the way that God has intended.
