It was those special Friday nights. We sat there in front of our television set, my mom and I and watched our favorite evening shows lineup. It was something I looked forward to in elementary school, every Friday. This went on for a couple years or so and it still remains a cherished memory. Though the shows we watched we enjoyed, it was those moments just her and I and I felt at peace and I felt so loved. Sometimes those small, seemingly ordinary moments are the ones we treasure the most. Spring break is coming up and a lot of families will travel. I think that is wonderful. However, I also mention this because I want you friend to know, you don’t have to leave for spring break. Just spending time with our families and cherishing them, is just as memorable. Kids may remember those grand trips. Though what they remember the most is the shared time and the love that we give them. So, whether it’s the trip to Florida or somewhere else, or an adventure hike in your hometown or just snuggled up watching their favorite show with them; it all makes for a great adventure. For the grandest adventures we can give our children is our time we give them and the love we share. Children truly are a blessing from God, may we love them as such; cherishing all moments, big and small. I close my eyes and I go back to those Friday nights filled with laughter with my mom and a heart full of love that still echoes.
