I look back on some things in my life that I’ve been through

I know I survived them Lord, because of you

Even at times when I didn’t know you were near

You never stopped being there

You held my hands in moments I was afraid

I didn’t understand then the plans you had made

Though looking back at where I used to be

You were there in the chaos right beside me

Life is a journey with many ups and downs

Though we can survive with your love that does surround

I look back on life, and all that I have been though

I know I survived Lord, all because of you
