The old man sits in the rain, one hand waving a flag and another one waving at us. The young man at the little grocery store with special needs, always remembers us. He runs up and offers a hug with a great big smile. My youngest son takes initiative and scans the groceries. When we leave, he carries all his still growing arms can carry, so I don’t have to carry too much. It is in moments like these where I can further see the love of God. It is in the kindness of a stranger. A familiar face that is eager to spread joy. It is in the helpfulness of my son. For when we allow Gods light to shine through us, it is there where love shines the brightest. It is a cloudy day with some rain. Yet, I still feel the light that shines through love. I am grateful to God for it. Friend, may we spread God’s love by the way we let our light shine.
