When things don’t go my way

Surely, I could complain

Though then I am reminded

Of my sin and shame

For we as humans we don’t

deserve the best

Yet God and His grace,

 still makes us blessed

We have been trained in this world

That we deserve more than we do

We start to believe it

From when we’re young too

Though I do agree we all deserve

Kindness, love and care

Everything else is just

A blessing here

Like up on that cross

Jesus did not have to be

Yet, still He died

for you and me

As humans I have come to realize

We think the world owes us a lot

Though because we are human

I assure you it does not

If we start to see things

Through a different point of view

We can see all that we have

Is a gift from God, it’s true

So may we learn to complain less

And instead sing His praises and pray

To God who has blessed us

Even when things don’t go our way
