Its so overwhelming, to think about You it’s true,
Though life is underwhelming if I don’t have You
Life is so empty if You’re not there, and what’s left in its place
Is a hole needing filled, by Your love and Your grace
For what is life, what can it amount
If You’re not the way we live it out
What are our footsteps, if they walk alone
Not having our Savior, to guide us home
What is joy, if it doesn’t come from above
For happiness, comes from a place of love
Love comes from you Lord, You are the start
The beating that holds my heart
In life I have come to understand
I cannot be, without the Great I Am
Your love is overwhelming in all the best of ways
And my heart longs for You all of my days
For without You Lord, what do we got
Certainly not a lot
By You we were created, our souls long for You still
They always have and they always will
