Forgiveness is a place, where love sounds an alarm

That we must release who has caused harm

Though not forgetting, it is where vengeance can flee

And hate not having the victory

Where in pain, bitterness could be left inside

Though what is chosen, is love applied

Where anger and sin could have resided

Was met with peace, hate subsided

What does it mean to truly forgive

Is an act of love, so life we can truly live

For we are all but sinners, all in need of grace

As we live and navigate this earthly place

Just as Jesus died for us, all of us filled with sin

We must learn to forgive like Him

Forgiveness is an action, where we sound the alarm

To act in love, despite the harm
