I am not entirely sure who quoted it, but it said, “Don’t forget to imagine the best-case scenario, too.” I needed to hear this. Recently, I had felt a little overwhelmed about a few things. I begin to allow my emotions to get too big and in fear, I started to get caught up in the worst-case scenarios. This led to feelings of anxiety, defeat, and negativity. Then, I came across this quote and it stopped me right in my worry filled tracks. It was almost as if God was reminding me in these eight letters, and this one sentence quote, to stop focusing on fear and start focusing on hope. Friend, it is so easy at times to get caught up in fear or worry when things are hard. We start planning for the worse, as if to prepare and protect ourselves. Though even God tells us not to worry about tomorrow. When we think of things that concern us, we must not let them consume us. We need to change our mindset to focusing on today, yes, but while also being hopeful of the future. For we know that God holds it. When we feel negativity set in, may we remember the hope that comes through God. May we not forget to focus on that best-case scenario through Him, who holds us and loves us tremendously.
