There will always be someone better at something then you, prettier, smarter, wiser, funnier, more talented, more wealthy. The list goes on. For even if we thought we were the best at something, we are all gifted differently to different levels and everyone has a different opinion as well. I may look at a rose and say it’s the prettiest. Someone may think that the daisy is prettier. We all have different opinions, different thoughts. We are also all gifted in different ways. For instance, my husband is more gifted in geography, I am more gifted in writing. This world makes us feel like we need to compete or that we don’t always measure up. Though life is not a competition and the only thing we need to measure, is if we are living as God has called us to. If we are always trying to live up to what we think the world wants of us, we are always going to fall short with someone, or in some way, in some sort. But if we look at ourselves as God created us and embrace the gifts that He’s given, it is there we can find joy in what we can offer the world for God’s glory. May we live as He has called, with what He has given. For in Him we can see that we are all wonderful just as He designed. May we stop competing and comparing. Instead, may we encourage one another with each other’s strengths and embrace the ones in which we ourselves have. May we not live for the world, but for God who has made us all very special; each in our own ways.

Wonderfully created
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 NIV
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Psalm 139:14 NIV
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
