Sunshine

I got up yesterday morning and drew open the curtains. It was nice to see the sunshine. Lately, where I live, the skies have been cloudy and the days have just felt so cold. Though the sunshine always seems to provide a sense of warmth, even against the sometimes bitterness of winter. We all need some sunshine in our days, not just for the natural vitamin D, but for the way it seems to warm our spirits. Life can feel a little like a cold winter day sometimes and our loved ones can be like this very sunshine that we need. I think of God as my constant sunshine. Providing light and warmth always. Providing care, love, and everything that I need. Everything that we all need. May we too be like this for one another; being like sunshine in the lives of others. Helping them find joy, when life maybe feels a little cold or dreary. May we be the sunshine that we all need. So even if our morning sun doesn’t shine through, the love we share for one another always will. For just as the love from God always does.
