Everyone gathered, we talked and we prayed
About her passing and His will that was made
We grieved and we cried, we even laughed too
The memories of her, and all she would do
We talked about someday we will see her again
That this is just temporary, though not the end
The pastor did a toast, with his water in hand
As he knew this was what the Lord had planned
For losing a loved one is hard I cannot lie
Though there is always peace, when it’s not goodbye
When it is a see you later, until we meet again
As we thank God for the time, we had with them
We said our goodbyes to her, and we hung onto what remained
Knowing though things will be different, some will be the same
Though God gives us memories, until we meet in Heaven above
Little trinkets in our hearts, filled with endless love
So, if your heart is grieving, like mine is today
Think of all the memories, and go to God and pray

Not the end
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 NIV
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
