I didn’t ask him to, but he did it anyway. I had been outside shoveling and when I turned my head there stood my youngest son all dressed in his winter gear. He was ready to help me shovel. And that’s exactly what he did. Together, we finished it rather quickly, still allowing for him to enjoy the snow for a few minutes. It is always nice to have help, especially when we didn’t even have to ask. For when we work together and help one another out, things are so much better. May we be a helper for one another. Lending a hand, without even being asked. Just as Jesus Himself did. How blessed we are by God, to have such people in our lives that truly care.

Looking out for others
Galatians 5:13 NIV
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
1 John 3:18 NIV
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
Philippians 2:3-4 NIV
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
