Did you ever have a time that really stands out to you, where you prayed super hard and God told you no? Then, later it was because God was saying yes to something way better? I sure have. Looking back at those times of disappointment, I now look back in praise. There was a time where God saved me from a bad situation. Later, putting me in the best situation possible. There was the time we put a bid on a house and right at the end it just fell through. Then sometime later we were given in even better home, in a better location. There was a time where my health was not doing well and my body was telling me. I prayed to be better but initially God said no. That no, made me go to the hospital. Going to the hospital, saved my life and provided true healing. As humans, we want what we want in the moment sometimes. There are definitely times where God answers our prayers as we want them, because it aligns with His will and it is what He sees best. Though sometimes, he says no, as it’s not the way He chooses for us. Ultimately, because He knows that particular prayer isn’t what is best and for our good. Friend, in the moment, God’s no sometimes can feel like rejection. Though it is far from it. It is God saying I have better plans. Reminding us just to trust Him. Often, we can look back and see that God’s no was because He had a better yes. May we hang tight to His goodness, His plans, and His purpose. For He is faithful in His love for His children.
