Recently, I had to get new clothes for my kids. It seems that everyday they keep growing and I am just trying to keep up. It is amazing how fast they grow and how quickly time moves. I read a quote that said something along the lines that we are meant to raise our kids to be able to leave us someday. I am learning that someday is coming quicker than I had thought it would. My oldest is looking more like a young man and my youngest isn’t too much shorter than myself. I know God has entrusted me, as their mother, to love and care for them. To nurture them in life and also their faith. To help them to become good, capable, men of society and especially, men of God. I know someday all my training days will come to the point where I need to let them go. Let them be the men that God has created them to be. Though I can already feel myself missing them, knowing how quickly time has already gone. Though I do hope someday they visit often, I know these are the years where I still have them. Where I can still help shape them. Where I can still really nurture them. As I continue to lay their foundation of their faith, along with my husband. Parenting is such a beautiful, sometimes difficult, experience. Though it is a calling and a blessing. I hope someday when they are full grown and it is their time to become men, that I will be able to see them be all that God has created them to be. That I completed my duty to both them, and to God well, as their mother. I make mistakes, as I am human. But through it all I want to know that I used this very quickly moving of time wisely with them. Friend, if you are like me and still raising children, may we make the most of it all. Using this time wisely. Someday very soon they will be grown. Until then, I want to soak up all the time I have in raising them to be the wonderful men of God I know that they can be someday. They are already pretty great and I am proud of them and grateful to God for that.

Growing with time
Ephesians 5:15-17 NIV
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Proverbs 22:6 NIV
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
