Privilege and a blessing

“Thank you for doing all you do my love.” My husband said this to me recently after tending to our home and our children. Though he often tells me this. It always means a lot to hear it. In turn, I am always telling him how much I appreciate all that he does for our family, and how hard he works to care for us while still being attentive to us when he gets home. This particular day though I was reminded that I don’t just do it to get it done. I was reminded how it is a privilege to care for my home, and most importantly, my family. How blessed I am to be able to be home to care for them. That these dirty dishes are from a family well fed. The laundry being clean gives us clothes on our backs. The cleaning I do a reminder of the home in which we have. What an opportunity to take care of this home in which God has blessed us with. More importantly, my family in which God has blessed me with. My husband is appreciative of all I do, as I am of him. Though I also have much gratitude toward God for all that He has given. Friend, we can complain about our jobs, the things we need to do around the house, the things that are expected of us. Or we can praise God for having such blessings to care for. For truly it is a privilege and a blessing to nurture all in which God has given us.

Privilege and a blessing

Psalm 100 NIV

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
